How much do new windows cost in Ireland?
It is the question everyone wants answered first, and the honest reply is that it depends. We would rather explain what drives the cost than quote a figure that turns out to be meaningless for your home. Here is what actually moves the price, and how to compare quotes properly.

Why there is no single price
Every home is different. The number of windows, their size, the frame material, the glazing, the colour and the state of the existing openings all change the figure. Two houses on the same road can come to very different totals depending on what is being fitted and what has to be done to fit it.
That is why we do not publish a price per window. A number that low enough to look attractive online is rarely the number you would actually pay, and we would rather be straight with you than tempt you in with a figure we cannot stand over.
What drives the cost most
Frame material is one of the biggest factors. Aluclad and aluminium systems generally cost more than basic uPVC, but they last, hold their finish and look sharper. Glazing matters too: triple glazing costs more than double, and larger panes of glass carry a higher price.
The size and number of units add up, as does anything unusual: bay windows, corner glazing, large sliding or lift and slide doors, or openings that need building work before the new units go in. Colour and hardware choices make a smaller difference but still count.
The cost of fitting, not just the product
A window is only as good as the fit. Careful removal of the old units, proper sealing, finishing inside and out and making good around each opening all take time and skill. A quote that looks cheap sometimes cuts corners here, and that shows up later as draughts, leaks or a poor finish.
When you compare quotes, check that they cover removal, disposal, sealing and finishing, not just the bare units. Like for like is the only fair comparison.
How to get an accurate figure
The only way to know what your project costs is a proper survey and a written quote. We come to you, measure accurately, talk through the options and give you a clear price with no obligation. There is no charge for the quote and no pressure to go ahead.
If you are budgeting, tell us what you have in mind and we will be honest about what is realistic. Often we can suggest where to spend and where to save without compromising the result.
Questions
Common questions.
It depends on the number and size of windows, the frame material, the glazing and the state of the openings. Rather than quote a figure that may not apply to your home, we provide a free, accurate written quote after a survey.
